TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Geary County residents are encouraged o take part in the Community Health Needs Assessment.
You may remember a similar announcement from Shawnee County last week. Stormont Vail Health is helping Geary County launch its survey as well. The assessment is conducted every three years to assess public health issues present in the county and help develop strategies to address them.
“We’re excited to be involved in this year’s CHNA,” Karla Hedquist, Stormont Vail Directory of Community Engagement, said. “Geary County has conducted many similar surveys in the past, and our goal is to work together with our community partners to solicit robust feedback versus offering multiple surveys separately. We hope the 2024 CHNA will give us a clearer picture of the Geary County community’s most pressing needs by giving those who have historically lacked a platform to share their voice a chance to be heard.”
Stormont Vail says the survey takes less than 10 minutes to finish. You can take it here, or in Spanish here. The survey will be open through April 30.
The Geary County Health Department, Live Well Geary County, Pawnee Mental Health, Konza Prairie Community Health Center, and USD 475 are all part of the 2024 Geary County Community Health Assessment Steering Committee helping conduct the survey.
